How can I keep my cat from messing with my blinds?

I live in a small studio and have what I like to call a “mini-sunroom”. It has seven windows, that run almost floor to ceiling. I don’t like leaving the blinds open so they are always down, and I have no curtains because I can’t afford them. My cat is ALWAYS trying to look through them, bending and twisting the individual pieces. The blinds now look like crap and I’m going to have to replace them before I move out or my landlord will charge me an arm and a leg. How do I keep my cat from playing with them? I yell at her, spank her, spray her with water, tried keeping her in a cage as a time out and nothing works. I’m at my wits end, help!

mini blinds & cats don’t mix I have replaced too many myself. Get vertical blinds & that will solve your problem or get rid of the cat.
