I had a sun tunnel installed in one of the rooms in my home to provide extra light, but it’s working too good, in that it is providing TOO much light. I almost need to wear a sunglass to be in the room in the middle of a day. Is there something like a horizontal drapes or a filter that can be attached that would cut down on some of the light coming in?

My rabbit lives inside, but in our backroom which is sort of like a sun room… But it doesn’t get any heat, so it gets pretty cold in there in the winter (I live in Michigan, and it gets pretty cold here) The floor is also tile right over concrete over the ground, so I’m not sure if its going to be too cold for him.
What should I do to keep him warm?

Hes a Netherland dwarf rabbit. :D

I got a 3 month old sun conure from a beeder a week ago. He’s (or she, I don’t really know the sex) a sweet little guy with a friendly personality who lets me pick him up and pet him and everything, but he prefers my husband, even though I’m the one who feeds him, plays with most and has the most to do with his care. If he’s sitting on me and my husband comes into the room he flys off me trying to get to him. He calls for my husband and ignores me. I think he has an overall prefence for men…he reacts to my brother and father too. I think this may be because the beeder was male. I need some advice on how to handle the situation. I don’t want the bird to stop liking my husband, I just want him to like me as much, or atleast not run away from me when hubby’s in the room. And I don’t want the bird to develope any jelousy issues in the future and start to resent me because it has bonded to my husband as it mate!

These days, one suitable and fast way to purchase things is via credit cards.  Customers also apply to get credit cards to in order to establish their own credit rating.  The accessibility of credit cards to consumers is also getting more complicated as different companies draw consumers with low interest rates and attractive incentives.

Credit cards both have advantages and disadvantages.  A benefit of credit card is that it can be used for purchases worldwide.  A credit card also allows an individual buy things whenever, wherever, and how he wishes whether it be in person, via the telephone and the internet.

The risks of having a credit card are the potential uncontrolled debts that can be acquired effortlessly if the card holder is not careful.  Credit card debts habitually come from interest rates that can go up anytime as the creditor chooses.  Exceeding the credit limit will also carry penalties and fees.

It is good to be familiar with the various types of credit cards available in the market.  Doing so will enable a person to plan ahead and pick the proper credit card plan that will adhere to his finances.

Standard Credit Card

A standard credit card is the kind of credit card that is widespread and made obtainable to people who have modest level of income.  Standard credit cards have a credit limit and that credit limit generally depends on the bank’s policy.  The term “maxed-out” is usually the word used for a reached credit limit and the card can be used for purchase again only until the holder makes his/her payment.  Furthermore, if the credit card holder fails to pay the outstanding balance after the end of the month he will also have to pay for an extra fee for late payment charges.

The commonality of standard credit cards among millions of consumers around the world makes it one of the major sources of debt.

Premium Credit Card

For individuals who have higher income, the common credit card to use are premium credit cards.  Platinum and Gold cards fall under premium credit cards and the benefits these cards offer comes in the form of reward points, travel upgrades, cash back, etc. but can have fees that are significantly higher than those of standard credit cards.

Secured Credit Card

Secured credit cards are the type of cards which requires a security deposit, much like that of a collateral.  Individuals who have quite a smudge on their credit history or those who don’t have one, are the perfect candidates for secured credit cards.

Prepaid Credit Card

Prepaid credit cards can only be used if there is funds loaded on it and its credit limit is also the amount of the card’s load.  This type of credit card is similar to a debit card, the only difference between the two is that prepaid cards are not tied to checking accounts.  Using prepaid credit cards for purchases also does not incur penalty charges as the card holder is not charging money from the bank and charges it to his own deposited balance.

If you arrive to a point where you are having difficulty in paying off your credit card debt, there are quite a few actions you can take to pay off your debt as best you can.

One of these measures is to transfer your debt to another provider through a 0% balance transfer.  A 0% balance transfer will pass your present credit card debt to another credit card provider and you will be given 0% APR for six to twelve months.  The difference this will do to your finances is highly beneficial given that you won’t have to worry about being charged a monthly interest rate.

If you are hesitant to switch providers, your best option is to inform them right away and be truthful with your current situation.  Honestly telling your credit card provider of your reason will not only lessen your burden but they will also be more sympathetic to you.  Seeking advice from reputable debt experts is also a great help.

like the title says, my room is hot. With EVERYTHING OFF, my room is about 85 degrees. It doesn’t help that the sun directly shines on my room for most of the day; both my televisions, my computer, game systems, and a mini-fridge are always on. Without turning all of these off or making the AC cool the entire house, what do I do to cool it down? BTW, this is with 2 fans on at full.

The one thing that would have the greatest impact on health care is people taking care of themselves. The vast majority of health problems stem from things people can control: being in the sun, eating too much, smoking, etc. Think of how cheap health care would be if everyone did that, and then we wouldn’t have to tax people to death to pay for this crazy nationalized health care plan. Why isn’t he talking about that?
