Remodling our house and need 'Country' primary focus outside ideas?
We remodling soon and I need help with country primitive accent ideas outside. We are ading on a larger porch with a foreland as a focal point. Building in the portico Fron cuttent to a veranda. I would like to have her husband do this "country wood shutters with stars cut in them. The colors I am picking is a light Greem primitive white lace with burgundy shutters. How about window boxes? Are they a thing of the past? What are the other keys that I can give my home to give this country home has touched? Thank you all there. Lyn
I love decorating and primitive. The window boxes would be a nice touch. Perhaps you could paint their sand, then them along the edges and some along the front to look more and more altered. You can use an old tub for a small bed flower. Old nest boxes close together on a workbench would be altered pretty. Stencil or hand paint a design on the side of the floor solarium and down stairs if you have. Old farm implement, like forks, rakes, shovels can be set against the walls. I think the colors you are talking about are more countries than the dyes primitive.Primitive me mustards Red Barn, and sage green. The stars on the shutters will look Nice in order to collect more stars .. such as red or the facts scrap wood and hang them on walls. Putting things in that make you smile and they will help everyone who visits welcome. Good luck with that!
