Plywood for ??……………………….? support

I am building a small veranda room whirlpool / (16 'wide and 12 feet deep) to the back of my garage and used 2×4 spaced 12 "apart to the roof with 4 2×4 double-spaced in duration. It has a metal roof on it and I intend to put in 4 "skylight" (1 / 4 "plexiglass tinted). I was on the roof working on this and it seems very solid, but daddy girlfriends came over and said that I saw pieces of plywood on the sides of the 2×4 to make it a habit of "sag". He said that the 2×4 may SAG low, but the plywood screwed to the sides of it he will not be allowed because of the custom of the collapse of plywood to "give" how will a 2×4. Is this true and worth extra burden of work and added??? I thought a bit, but it is why I am here to respond more educated I suppose! Thank you

do u one snowload? if not great. 12 'run with 2×4 isn't bad but the humidity of the room will want to bend 2×4. their seal. i would go support beam under the 2×4 or 2×4 sub add these to 2×8 if necessary. u can also cut the length of rafters from your wall the garage with 2×4 2×4 angle [running from wall to roof 2x4] for support. Plywood can bend and deform, especially with the humidity.
